Chat - How to tune into our Movie Club
Chat is a private space for us to converse and connect.
Among other things, it facilitates our Movie Club roughly once a month, exclusively for paid subscribers. We hang out, talk shop, and break down films together in real-time. Join us for lively discussion and camaraderie with kindred spirits!
For example, we dove deep into Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar in honor of the film’s tenth anniversary. And when visionary filmmaker David Lynch passed away, we explored one of his most unusual films in celebration of his legacy.
With new Movie Club events roughly once a month, there’s always a screening and discussion to look forward to, whether it’s a cult classic, hidden gem, or fresh release sparking conversation. (Please note that you need your own copy of the film if you want to watch along with us, but you’re welcome to tune in regardless).

Scheduling details for upcoming Movie Club events are included in new posts, so that you can plan accordingly. Be sure to keep an eye on your inbox!
That said, new Chat threads aren’t always sent via email, so turn on push notifications for the app so that you don’t miss conversations as they happen.
You can also access Chat on the web.
2. Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for The Lighthouse inside:
3. That’s it! When a Movie Club event is live, jump into Chat to say hi and chime in, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
